Tax India Filing ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and our services, why we collect it, who we share it with, how we protect it and the choices you have. It is written in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

Data you give us

  • Enquiry details: name, mobile number, email, city and the service you need, when you fill a form, call, chat or message us on WhatsApp.
  • Service documents: PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN, photographs, address proof, bank statements, Form 16, financial statements, and details of directors, partners, members or trustees, as needed for the service you choose.
  • Portal access: OTPs or login details of government portals, only when you choose to share them for filing. Change your passwords after the work is done if you wish.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by banks and payment gateways. We do not store your full card number, CVV or net-banking password.
  • AI assistant chats: the questions you type and the answers given. Please do not type passwords, OTPs or full bank or card numbers into the chat.

Data collected automatically

  • IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, time spent and the website or ad that brought you here, through cookies and tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel, when they are switched on.

2. Why we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry, call you back and send you a quote.
  • To prepare and file your returns, registrations and compliances, and to follow up with government departments.
  • To send invoices, status updates and due-date reminders.
  • To answer your questions through our AI assistant and improve its answers.
  • To keep the website safe and to prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
  • To understand how visitors use the website and to measure and improve our ads.
  • To meet our legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping duties.

3. Your consent

By submitting your details or documents, you give us consent to use them for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a service that needs that data, and earlier processing remains valid.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only where needed:

  • Government authorities and portals such as the Income Tax Department, GSTN, MCA, EPFO, ESIC and IP India, to file what you asked us to file.
  • Our professionals: associated Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, advocates and staff working on your matter, who are bound to keep it confidential.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as web hosting, email, WhatsApp, payment gateways, analytics and AI providers, only to the extent needed for their task.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect our legal rights.

Some service providers, such as AI or analytics tools, may process data outside India. When this happens, we share only what is needed.

5. Cookies and ads

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use them to keep the website working, remember preferences, measure traffic and show relevant ads on platforms such as Google and Meta. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can change ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. Some features may not work properly without cookies.

6. How we protect your data

  • The whole website runs on HTTPS (SSL encryption).
  • Only authorised staff can open the admin panel. Admin passwords are stored as encrypted hashes, and logins are protected against repeated wrong attempts.
  • Forms are protected against spam and common web attacks.
  • Documents are accessed only by people who work on your file.

No system on the internet is 100% secure. If a data breach is likely to affect you, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.

7. How long we keep data

We keep enquiry data for as long as it is useful to follow up with you, and service records for as long as tax, company and other laws require (usually up to 8 years). After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
  • Ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Withdraw consent or stop promotional calls and messages.
  • Nominate another person to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer and, if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email info@taxindiafiling.com from your registered email or number. We may verify your identity before acting.

9. Children

Our services are for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, for example when filing a minor's PAN or return on a parent's request.

10. Links to other websites

This website links to government portals and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Changes to this policy
